Dr. Faezeh Shalchy is the CEO of Infinity 3D Implants and Assistant Professor at the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences at Heriot-Watt University, specializing in the development of learning manufacturing systems and the creation of 3D printed medical devices. Her research expertise spans the fundamental principles governing the behaviour of materials, mechanics, and structures in engineering. Faezeh earned her Ph.D. from the Department of Engineering and Physical science at the University of Southampton under Marie Curie Fellowship. Her doctoral research was dedicated to comprehending the mechanics of additively manufactured metamaterials, with a focus on their potential applications in tissue engineering. During her post-doctoral research at the University of Cambridge, she has developed her knowledge regarding mechanics of multi-material lattices. Faezeh have also served as a research fellow at school of metallurgy and material at University of Birmingham working on Metal Additive Manufacturing of Ti alloys.
Having accumulated both academic and industrial expertise, Dr. Sina Askarinejad is the CTO of Infinity 3D Implants, and Lecturer at the University of Dundee. Prior to this, Sina served as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Dyson Technology, where his research centered on the design of electric motor components and the prediction of durability. Before that, he held a post-doctoral Research Associate position at the University of Cambridge under the supervision of Prof. Norman Fleck. In this role, he contributed to fundamental projects on corrosion, adhesives, and adhesion mechanisms.
